Conference Booklet

(Revised 2024. Also called the Handbook for Members) - All members of the Confraternity should receive a copy of this booklet at their Enrollment. It includes basic information about the history of the Confraternity, the rights and duties of members, and certain prayers for Christian Mothers, including the Daily Prayer for the Children, the Ritual of Solemn Reception and Prayers for Christian Mother Meetings. Mothers may keep it for personal use and/or bring it to meetings and conferences.

Print as a booklet on Letter-sized paper to produce a 5.5x8.5 booklet. If you prefer to print this in another format, please have one of your Officers or Director contact the National Office and we can email them this document in Word.

Manual for Director & Officers

Revision in progress - please use this version until the new edition is released) - This is a guidebook for the local Director and Officers of the Confraternity. This booklet is not intended for distribution among the members, but should be read by women who are involved with establishing a new chapter or re-activating an inactive chapter. Directors and Officers should read and consult this booklet frequently to ensure that they conduct the affairs of the Confraternity in accord with its essential mission and to help ensure unity with the Archconfraternity and with other CCM chapters. In many cases where difficulties arise in the conduct of a local Confraternity, this booklet may provide direction. Local Directors and Officers are also encouraged to contact the National Office for guidance when necessary. Print as a booklet. You may also print this Cover on card stock and attach to the Handbook.

Handbook for Officers

As with the Manual, this is not intended for use by the general membership but to assist the officers in their roles, but should be read by women who are involved with establishing a new chapter or re-activating an inactive chapterPrint as a booklet. Prayers

Conference Prayer Card

(Revised 2024) - All Confraternity meetings should begin with these prayers. They are included in the Conference Booklet, but you may also print these prayer cards for use at meetings if your members are not in the habit of bringing their Conference Booklet. Print on Letter-sized paper or card stock. Lamination is recommended to protect the card with repeated use.

Ritual of Solemn Reception

(Revised 2024) - For use by every Confraternity chapter to enroll new members (sometimes called the “Enrollment Ceremony.”) We recommend that you print on card stock or laminate these for repeated use.

English-Only - For use by groups that conduct the Enrollment Ceremony in English. Print, double-sided (in color) on Letter-sized paper or card stock.

Latin - For use by groups that conduct the Enrollment Ceremony in Latin, or who conduct it in English but whose members also enjoy seeing the Latin origins. Print, double-sided (in color) on Legal-sized paper or card stock.

This document is for use as a recruitment brochure at your parish to introduce potential members to the mission of the Confraternity. Print double-sided.

Principal and Indulgenced Feast Days

Officers of a local chapter may use this document to learn more about establishing particular feast days within a local chapter, and to record their chapter’s feast days. Officers may download and edit as appropriate. Keep the completed document with the other records of your Confraternity such as your Diploma of Affiliation and your membership ledger.

Application for Affiliation

For the Director to send to the Local Ordinary (Bishop) to request that he establish the Confraternity at a new parish.
